Coarser grain with a natural molasses profile. Packed to spec on audited lines with private label options and QR on every bag.
Santos / Paranaguá • CIF / FOB / CFR
Demerara is a minimally refined cane sugar with large, coarse crystals and a natural golden-brown color. It retains some molasses from the sugarcane, giving it a distinctive toffee-like flavor. It originated in Demerara, Guyana, but is now produced in Brazil and other cane-growing regions.
Brown sugar retains a portion of the natural molasses, which gives it color, moisture, and flavor. White sugar (ICUMSA 45 or 150) has the molasses fully removed through refining. Brown sugar is preferred for baking, beverages, and specialty food applications.
Yes. Private label printing is available in English, Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic, and French. Labels are applied to 50 kg PP woven bags with QR traceability codes on every bag.
Each shipment undergoes SGS inspection at load and discharge on request. A Certificate of Analysis is provided where applicable, along with Invoice, Packing List, and Clean on Board Bill of Lading.
LAKAY BUSINESS brown/demerara sugar has a minimum polarity of 98.0° with moisture content not exceeding 0.5%. The coarse granulation is maintained to demerara standards.
